30 people, 16 days, 7 Islands, 8 ferries, 2 planes, 12 hotels and 1,600km driven... that's what it took to complete the 8 commercials for Turismo de Tenerife's new advertising campaign "Yo me Quedo" (
I'm staying) aimed at the islands' local population and to encourage them to take their holidays here in the beautiful and diverse Canarian archipelago. The spots were produced by Tacto Comunicación and directed by Eddie Cardellach for the DDB Agency in Madrid. The DoP was the talented Spanish cameraman Manuel Muñoz and Film!CanaryIslands supplied the RED ONE camera and the camera technicians Andy & Pekko.
During the shoot the team visited some of the famous location highlights on all 7 of the Canarian islands, including the sand dunes in Fuerteventura, the primeval forests in La Gomera, Teide National Park in Tenerife, the observatory in La Palma... a journey that reminded all of us, and hopefully the target audience too, just how varied, dramatic and breath-takingly beautiful our islands are!
