3 Feature Films in 4 Months!
Could this be a record? This has been the busiest summer on record at Film!CanaryIslands... in July we completed the Serbian feature "Montevideo God Bless You" directed by Dragan Bjelogrlić; August we shot our own first feature film, "La Decision de los Lupano" directed by Nersas Ferrera; and in September, our second feature "El Clan" directed by Jaime Falero! We also accommodated "Bid Time Return", a 10 minute short film by British Director, Jon Sorensen and 2 underwater productions, "Oceans" directed by the Swedish choreographer Pontus Lidberg and underwater sequences for the Spanish feature film "La Ultima Isla" directed by Dácil Pérez de Guzmán. Oh, and we also did a 4 day commercial shoot for Thomson Holidays!
October 2011 - Bid Time Return - Short Film - Director: Jon Sorensen
"Bid Time Return" is the new 15 minute science fiction road movie, written, produced and directed by British Film-maker, Jon Sorensen. Jon started his career in special effects, working on films such as Alien & Time Bandits, before getting into film directing and music composing, after spending time as an accomplished DoP
October 2011 - El Clan - Feature Film - Produced by Film!CanaryIslands
El Clan is Film!CanaryIslands second feature film (the other being La Decisión de Los Lupano, filmed earlier this year).
September 2011 - Ocean - Dance Film - Ponts Lidberg - Sweden
Ocean is the ambitious underwater dance project, created by international choreographer, Pontus Lidberg. The first leg of the production was shot in Greece, by Film!CanaryIslands DoP Andy McLeod, with our RED MX underwater kit.
August 2011 - Thomson Holidays - Commercial - Academy Films - London
Just completed after 4 days intensive shooting, is the ambitious new commercial for Thomson Holidays, produced by Academy Films in London, and directed by Martin De Thurah. The new ad has been rolling on British TV since the 22nd October, during The X Factor.
August 2011 - La Decisión de Los Lupano - Feature Film - Film!CanaryIslands/Coopfilm - Tenerife
After 28 days intensive shooting, our first feature film, "La Decisión de Los Lupano" is finally in the cutting room. The film was written and directed by Nersas Ferrera and produced by Lou de Giorgio (CoopFilms - Seyechelles) and Norbert A Schilling (Film!Canaryislands).
July 2011 - Montevideo - Feature Film - Intermedia Network - Serbia
Just wrapped after 20 days intensive shooting is the first phase of the Serbian feature film, "Montevideo, God Bless You".
January 2011 - Lāčplēsis Beer commercials - Grandma Films - Lithuania
Film!CanaryIslands was approached by Vaidus Vaikus from Grandma Productions in Lithuania with a storyboard set in a Latvian forest to promote Lāčplēsis beer.
Jan 2011 - Vertbaudet commercials - Basement - UK
Basement Multimedia from Manchester chose Tenerife as their winter time location to shoot a commercial for Vertbaudet's spring/summer children's clothing range.
October 2010 - Rainbow Tours commercials - Papaya Films - Poland
During October we were busy planning and shooting a series of TV spots with Papaya Films for their client, the Polish tour operator, Rainbow Tours.
